Kimball has been playing the piano since his mother began teaching him when he was 5 years old. He has been playing for the Dance Department at the University of Utah for 8 years, as well as a number of local ballet studios. In addition to ballet classes, he has accompanied choirs, soloists, congregations and dance performances. His repertoire spans a wide variety of styles and genres, though he prefers to play jazz and contemporary pieces when he thinks he can get away with it. He is also known to have a wide selection of Disney music and has been known to transcribe music he doesn’t have on request. Besides piano, he likes to mess around with flutes, pipe organs and composition.
